Today is Holy Saturday. We have Polish custom in this day. We go to the church to bless food. Exactly it is a basket with the food. We put inside eggs, kielbasa, bread, salt and pepper, cake and what ever you like to eat. I know that in Ukraine they also put the vodka inside ;-) because they have same custom. Tommorow in 6 a.m. in church we have the resurection mass. I have to wake up very early. So I am wishing to everyone Happy Easter. Tommorow I will sing Alleluja Alleluja :-)
That basket is beautiful! Did you take that picture, or is it from the Internet? I like that custom. Do you eat the blessed food later in the day? I hope you are having a very happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteNo... it's not my basket...but I think that mine is better ;-) but I didn't take a picture. Now basket is empty because we ate everything and I can't take a picture now...;-)
