I will miss you...

It will be my last blog in this semester...It is not easy. I really want to say something nice but I have to many ideas in my head. First ( like in the Oscar's gala ;-) ) I would like to say thank you for you Elaine. You are such a great teacher. I feel that you really love what you do that is why you are excellent teacher. I feel that I improved in this part of semester just because of you. I feel that if you will teach me English by one year I will be perfect. Thank you so much one more time. It was pleasure to meet you. Next I would like to say thank you to all of you guys. You are cool! We created wonderful group. I will miss our jokes and laugh. I believe that all of us faster or later pass exams to the college and all of us will finish the college. We are immigrants and it is harder to us to finish school here but we really can do it. dress

Today I had shopping day. I was with my mother in law in different stores. I started to look dress for my cousin's weeding party and ceremony. I will be his witness so I need something special. Additionaly I am hard person to buy something so I started to look now. Weeding is in August. I bought dress and it looks good but I don't know maybe I will change my mind.... ;-) America is very good country to change mind. Why? Because here always if you buy something you can always return. In Poland is different situation. When you buy something you have to be 100 per cent sure that you want this because is over. You can't return things in Poland. Sometimes even if something after washing looks like garbage because was bad material you can't return. Nobody gives you money back. Maybe sometimes you can exchange but only sometimes. So, instead of the U.S. where we can return everything Poland is so different. First time when I went return jacket here I was so shy I felt so bad because I thought that salesperson will be angry and I will have to explain everything why I want to return etc. but saleperson just took my receipt and gave money back. It was like shock for me that it wasn't any problem.

Hello My Friends, how is your weekend? You know what I start to be a little be sad...Why? Because I see that everybody starts to know each other very well in our class and when we start to know each other we have just one week to finish. Why always is like that? At the beginning everybody feels so shy and at the finish everybody starts to feel like in family but it is already finish :-( I like you guys. Each of you is different and this I like most because everybody is from different background, and everybody has different past and different experience. I hope so that our last week together will be our best of all weeks and we will have wonderful memories from this class.

our power

Today I said "no more". I decided to win with this bad weather and I won ! Are you interesting how I made it? ;-) So when I came back to home I decided to do barbeque. When I started I saw just clouds and grey color on the sky. When I was finishig barbeque and my meal was almost ready the sun showed up! That is why I think that I won with this weather ;-) If we really want something we can change it even if something is almost impossible! We have to just believe in our power ;-) This is my motto for today YOU CAN DO IT IF YOU WANT USE JUST OUR POWER :)

I just want to write that I like school here because I can meet people from different countries and I can get to know about their customs and traditions. Especially now, our topic about marriage is interesting. I didn't know for example about China that you have to pay a lot of money for your next child. I didn't know also about situation in Pakistan ... I can't imagine how situation like that has place in XXI w... Everyday I get to know something new. When my husband comes back from work everyday I tell him all new stories ;-) Sometimes I talk too much ;-) but I just want to always tell him everything.

NEW STADIUM ! WE WON FIRST MATCH

My post today is not so excating like you cuold think ... but...Today was my team first match on new stadium. I got to know that this stadium is not just the best speedway stadium in Europe. It is the best speedway stadium in the world! :) They won this match. It was amazing atmosphere there... My father was there and I felt so sad that I wasn't there with him. It is almost like historic moment. I saw in Internet whole match and stadium looks very niiice. Here is link where you can see one race on new stadium. no vein

From couple days I don't have completely any vein...I ought to write yesterday my third blog on the week. Today is Saturday and I still don't know what I can write... I know what I will write tommorow but it is secret ;-). I am sorry Elaine I don't have any topic in my head. I just want to say thank you for Friday's lab because many people really didn't know that this swine flu is so serious but because of your topic now they know more and they can be more careful.

I just came back from my mother in law. She is very nice woman. I have really good contact with her. She is more than mother in law. In Poland we have a lot of jokes about mothers in law but my mom is not like in jokes. I can say that she is my best friend here. I feel that I can always tell her all my problems and secrets. It is good to have friend....

Name Day

Tommorow in my family we will have next birthday party ;-) But I would like to write today about something else. Do you know that in Poland we have something like NAME DAY ? For each day in calendar we have different names. For example my Name Day is August 18th. My mom's Name Day is in December , my husband's is in June. Everyday somebody has Name Day. Sometimes older people celebrate more Name Day than birthday. We have joke that after 30 people start to celebrate just Name Day because they don't want to talk about their age :)

refuse

I just want to write how difficult is to say sometimes to sombody "no" . It is really not easy to refuse somebody something. But if I refuse this person should know that I am doing this for his own good. It is even more difficult if you like somebody. I hope that friendship not always means to say "yes". Also I hope that in future this person will understand me why I said no in this situation.

I hate this weather brrrrrrr

It is so ugly day today. I just took shower and my plans for tonight are watching movie and going to the bed. I poured water to my pig ( something like bottle with hot water) and when I will finish to write blog I will prepare hot chocolate. I feel more like in winter time than in spring time. I just hear rain outside. On my desk I have offer from store with the garden furniture and this offer has beautiful apearance. I see there swimming pool and sun but now I can just dream about this.....

movie

Ehhh... again I finished to watch movie and again I cried. It was so sad movie but it had happy end. Movie was about German soldier who escaped from Russian work prison in Siberia. He was escaping by 8 years. His family didn't know about him anything. At the end he met with his wife and children. I like movie like that but I don't like cry :( I know that it was happy end but.... t was so...pathetic.

ToY StOrE

Today we watched the movie "Big". Tom Hanks is my favourite actor, and I like all movies with him. But I didn't want to write about Tom today. In movie "Big" we saw scene when he was in toy store. I would like to share today with you my friends that I was growing up in toy store :-) My parents have toy store for this day and it is their job. Many times I heard from my friends ( when I was little girl of corse) how cool I have that I can be in toy store everyday. It was like a dream for some children. For me it was something absolutely normal. I really spent a lot of time in store with my parents. I started to sell by myself and stayed alone in store when I was 15 or 14 years old. I liked commerce very much. I missed so much this store when was the Christmas Time because on this season in store is a lot of customers and we have to sell very fast. I like advise toys. I was really good in recommended articles. I knew for each group of children which toy will be the best. I felt happy when customer bought somethnig and after couple days he or she came back to store and told me that "my child loves this toy". Many customers knew me from begining because I was always there as a small girl to be woman. It is store with family tradition. This store is in same age like I am :) I always arranged articles in store and I made expositions. This store doesn't look like Toys 'u' us . It is much smaller store but this store has own spirit and like I said - tradition.

Good luck

Today I played Take 5. I know that it is dangerous because everyday you want to scratch more and more ;-) but I tried, and I won just 5 extra coupons and $5 hehehe. It is not big fortune ;-) but I have to start from something ;-) I remember that when I was small girl, and sometimes when I was with my mom in post office she was buying for me coupons. I had fun with that but I never won anything. I just won 2 times in other things. One time I wrote articule for newspaper , they choose this articule and they sent me money for that because mine was best. Second time I catched a t-shirt in hockey game which is almost impossible to catch it with couple thousand other people in stadium ;-) but I catched ! My husband could't believe that I did that... ;-) Also I have another story with newspaper. When I was small girl in primary school I wrote letter for Santa Clause. Later I put this letter to special box in city. They collected all letters from children and the prize for best letters was that they will publish these letters in newspaper. After couple weeks , when I forgot about it my friend asked me " Ilona you have canary bird, yes? And I said yes , why do you ask me. My friend said that she read letter in newspaper about girl who wants from Santa Claus one gift . She wants that her canary bird start to sing again. Signature after letter was Ilona that is why she asked me. And yes, it was my letter. I really have just one request to Santa Clause. My canary bird stoped to sing because he had accident so I wanted singing canary bird again :( It was original for newspaper, and that is why they choosed it :) Now you know all my stories with newspapers and my luck ;-) I wish you good luck my friends too . custom

Today is Holy Saturday. We have Polish custom in this day. We go to the church to bless food. Exactly it is a basket with the food. We put inside eggs, kielbasa, bread, salt and pepper, cake and what ever you like to eat. I know that in Ukraine they also put the vodka inside ;-) because they have same custom. Tommorow in 6 a.m. in church we have the resurection mass. I have to wake up very early. So I am wishing to everyone Happy Easter. Tommorow I will sing Alleluja Alleluja :-)

Hi everyone ! I feel that when I have a free time I have less time than used to when I have to go to school. I sleep longer and that is why day is shorter. Everyday from Monday I try to clean my windows in home but wheather doesn't give me a chance. Rain and rain and cloudy. Tommorow I have to do it. It is almost Polish tradition that before Easter you have to clean windows ;-) and home has to look like brand new.

nephew

Today we were on birthday party my husband's nephew. My sister in law made really nice party and really delicious food. We spent nice time. Michael (nephew) is an apple in our family eyes. Now he is 3 years old. It is sad story about Michael but I don't want to write about this here. I can just tell you that each his birthday means a lot for all memebers from our family.

John Paul II

I come back from mass. We rememered about Pope John's Paul II life. Yesterday was fourth anniversary of his death. All Polish people really love John Paul II. I think that main reason is because he was also Polish but we love him not just for that. We love him because he was really good person. He was giving perfect example for everybody. It is difficult to say in English everything about him what I think. I am using just simple words but I know that for Christians I don't have to explain what kind of person he was. Specially for us, Polish people. He gave to us big hope many years ago and this hope came thrue.... Thank you for everything ....

parents

Today I met with my parents on -line. We have very good relation. I never have any problem with my parents and they never have bigger problems with me. Unfortunetly we can talk now just by phone or on- line . We are good friends and we understand each other in 100 %. They are really nice people. Before I came to the U.S. they never used computer but now they have to . My father even started to use computer in work. They started to understand that computer is really helpful thing. Good for them. I love them. In future I want to be same good person for my children like they are for me.

laundromat

I come back from laundromat now. I realy don't like go to laundromat. It is so boring. In Poland everybody has own wash machine. Even if you rent apartment you have own wash machine in home. I think that it is very unhygienic if you use same wash machine in such a "public place" but I stoped think about this because I don't have other choice. If I will have a lot of money a will open modern laundromat with Internet , with cafeteria.... ehh ;-) I have couple other ideas but I can not tell you guys because maybe somebody will want to steal my ideas ;-)

work and relax

I already finish my writing assigment. It was difficult to write this because I definitely agree with the scientist's opinion but in this assigment I had to don't agree ohhh... it was difficult. I didn't have any idea what I should write but I finished. I hope that Elaine will like it ;-)

Now I am going to watch Polish movie. We love to watch Polish movies with my husband. When I was in Poland I liked more American movies. Now, when I am here I love much more Polish movies ;-) They are really good and funny.

new session

Today we started new session with new, very nice teacher. Welcome Elaine :-) It is very nice to have that good teacher like you. I also would like to thank you to Marissa. It was a pleasure to met you. Thank you Marissa.

Other thing. I would like to thank everyone for your nice compliments for me today. They make me feel very nice and attractiveness. My new haircut was surprise for my husband. He didn't know nothing about my plans ..... ;-)

My pictures...

Today I would like to present to you , my friends, a couple of my pictures. I don't have my camera every day in my bag but I really like to do pictures. Specially when I am in the interesting places, but not always it has to be something special....Sometimes your garden or street near your house can be very interesting. My favorite place to take a picture is ocean or just nature. After I make a picture I change them a little bit in program and I make new desktop on my computer ;-)It gives me a huge satisfaction. How do you like them? What is your opinion?

MALE and FEMALE

Now in school we are talking about differences between men and women. If you want to learn something more about this I can advise the book "Women are from Venus, Men are from Mars" . This book can give you very good advices and sometimes is very suprising. Also it is difficult to do all these things that author mention to us. Some advices were so helpfull in life but not always is possible to think what book tell you. Real life is not a book and is difficult to do all these things. But I mention to read this book if you want to know more about yourself and your partner.

no more winter

Today I am tired. I think that I will have some crisis because of this winter. Who can tell me when will be finish this cold wheather? I miss so much Spring and summer time. I want to go on beach, I want to feel warm sun on my face. I think that I have just one chance to feel warm and imagine that I am on nice, exotic beach - in my dreams tonight....

real sport for real men

Sccoooore ! Exactly one minute ago I heard this . Why? Because my husband is big Islanders Team , hockey fan. He likes hockey a lot I can't say that I don't like but I am not big fan. The hockey is in winter time. In summer time we both are funs another sport. This sport is not so popular in the USA. I am talking about speedway bike.Don't think that it is sport with very fast bikes ;-) no no no. It is sport with very fast motors. This sport is so popular in my country. We really like this sport with my husband.



I would like to explain what exactly it is....


So... four men have very fast motors without breaks (!).





They have track ,
black track with special structure.









Usually two teams race together. So on track we have two men from each team.
They have four laps in each race.
In one game they have 15 races.
Is depence how long is track ( around 320 meters = 1050 feet ) but usually they finish 4 laps after 60 seconds.









The games are very exciting. Believe me! This sport is really dangerous. Very often contestants have hard accidents. But I think that they are from metal. They are so strong! This sport is for real men.


I love this sport from many many years. My father always took me on stadium. I don't remember when I saw speedway firts time but I was so small girl. Later I introduce my husband with this sport. I don't know... maybe now he is bigger fan than I am... The season is starting in April. We wait for this time. I can give some link from you tube and you can see real movie

L....O....V.....E.....

The love is important in life each human. On Saturday we had Valentine's Day. I spent this time of corse with my dear husband. We were in cinema and Japanese restaurant. It was very nice time. In restaurant we met two older people. Propably they were around 60 years older but we saw how they still love much and how they like spend time together. They were ideal example for us. They told us that respect and friendship are the most important things in live together. I definitely agree with that. These two things can give you success in life.

Friday 13

It is true that today is a Thursday 12 but I am writing about Friday 13 because it is exactly tomorrow. Everybody should be ready for this day.... I am joking a little bit because I don't believe to much in bad luck on Friday 13 but who knows? I think that if you really believe in bad luck at this day that something really can happen. So I would like to give you, my friends, some advice. Don't think tomorrow about number 13 and everything will be good. Don't worry, be happy. Also tomorrow they will start to play new movie in cinema "Friday 13" . If you like horror movies it can be good choice for you ;-)

Nice weekend

Yesterday we were with my husband on dance party. Polish catholic school colects money and that it's why they organize it. The party was so nice. We very like dancing with my husband so we had a fun. We came back to home at 3 a.m..
Today we have so beautiful wheater. My heart beats faster...I feel more power. I wish you good Sunday. See you tomorrow!

Journal

I feel that with my blog will be same situation like with my journals when I was younger. I always started to write journal and after couple days I stoped. But journal was different than blog in internet. It was always some nice notebook with colorful pages. I always choose special nice pen to write this journal ;-) but it was when I was teenager. In this notebook I wrote some secrets and school situations. When I read this journals couple years later always, even it was just 10 pages , everything was so funny and silly. Your journal can show you how you change your thinking. How your feelings changed. How you matured. So, journal is good experience. I have just one problem. I don't like to write when I have to. I like to write when I feel necessity... But in this blog, unfortunetly, I have to do it 3 times a week so I don't know how long I will continue this.. but probably to the end of semester... ;-) What about you my friends? Do you have any experience with journals?

Today I would like say thank you for all people from my group on Friday. Our job was so good! I am happy that I had that proffesional team like you. We made really sensational advertising campaign ;-) . I hope that our class will start to feel more familiar. Absolutely we need more work in different groups. A little snow = no school

Everybody now know that we didn't have school today - yupi ;-) I love american system. A little snow = no school. For me it was just a little bit. In Poland even when we have much much more snow , schools aren't delay. We aren't afraid. We aren't scare because of snow. Is not like here that children have school buses everywhere. In Poland children walk to school. Even if is cold, even if is more than 1 feet snow. Personally I don't like when is cold but snow is no problem for me. Now climate is changing but couple years ago we had really hard winter in Poland. I had my driver license exam in big snow storm and I pass :-) So.... snow is not the end of existing world....

So, today everybody is starting our nice blogs. I would like to tell you that on Saturday was my first anniversary in this country. Maybe I should sum a little this year.... Times flyies very quickly. This one year was for me almost like one month. I see that when we are older everything is faster and especially in the U.S. Before I start school I thought that everything will be difficult but now I am on second semester and I can't imagine how fast was that and it wasn't so hard. Good for me that I decided start this school (somebody helps me on this decision) . I know that I didn't waste this year and I didn't waste a time. I have new friends, I know new people and I have more experience and I know better English ( I hope so ;-) ) We can't imagine how soon will be finish this semester....

My first time

Everybody has first time in his life. Even if you said couple years before "never" . Remember NEVER say like that because always can be, some day, your first time. The life is full surprises. We can't forget about it.
I think that I start to like it....exactly now. Why? Because I like to write. One person 3 years ago said " I can list 99 things what you are doing bad and is 1 thing what you are doing very well - it is writing" . It was a joke but... I think that it was a joke with a little bit true. Also I like this joke.
So...it was my first time and my first words on blog. Thank you.
